Bedazzled Photography | The Blog bio picture

HEY THERE!

Welcome to my blog photo journal/blog where I document stories of couples in love, people and children through pictures.  I started Bedazzled Photography because of my love for capturing and telling life's story through pictures.  I am a wedding, lifestyle, and portrait photographer.  I love love what I do and love seeing and observing couples in love.

Five of my favorite things in the world are 1.God; 2.My Niece and soon to be born Nephew; 3. My Family, CC and Friends; 4. My Camera and of course 5. I Heart Cake-Red Velvet or Muffins.

My friends say if a Lioness and a Zebra has a child, I would be their offspring because the Zebra is quite distincet and stands out for it's uniqueness, and really, no other animal is covered in black and white stripes; while the Lioness is strong, opinionated, determined, confident and loving as well.

I make friends easily, so don't be surprised if you go from being a client to my friend. ;) I laugh too much, I love food.

Personally, I am inspired by my mother and I will say like myself she is a Zebra and  Lioness.  Artistically, I am inspired by works of my late grandfather and Jesh De Rox because of their distinctive and unique form of sculpture, fine art and photography respectively.  So, enjoy this ride with me and feast your eyes on Life through my Eyes.

xoxo

Out of the Office until July 16th.

Hey all,

Just wanted to let you all know starting today I will be out of the office concerning anything related to Bedazzled Photography to go get married. First stop, back to NY, then Jamaica. See you all on the other side as a Mrs.  Also, a post is no fun without pictures so here are some random pictures Me, CC and two friends of ours took when  we got to the top of Red Rock Mountains. Its 300 feet high.

My first rattle snake experience, I was surprisingly not afraid.

Looking at cactus/cacti gives me goose bumps

CC I want this same expression on our wedding day lol.

Red rock was certainly one of the most magnificent things I have ever seen or experienced. Just reminds you how great God is.

That’s all folks

xoxo

I cannot wait to say “I DO” to the love of my whole life and my very best friend in the whole wide world :-) .   Okay back to pictures, enjoy the album.

Oh by the way I am trying out a new way to display my pictures. Do you guys prefer the little curved edges or straight rectangle or square. Let me know your thoughts.

Scottsdale Wedding Photographer | Elegant Custom Invitations

Hey friends, this is a special blog post because it is all about me and my  “wedding planning”. I frequently shy away from talking about myself on my blog because it is about my wedding photography business but due to popular demand I have been asked to share some things concerning my wedding planning, so today I am going to talk about my Wedding Stationary.  I truly believe that your wedding invites/save the dates really set the tone for your wedding and when CC and I decided we were having a destination wedding, it was without second thoughts that I contacted my favorite wedding stationary designer Elegant Custom Invitations run and managed by Christiana Turner. When I say this girl has amazing talent and vision, believe me because she does lol. I wanted to create something that was very elegant but at the same time “understated simple” if that makes any sense. I told Christiana that the only thing I wanted was to see my cards and use the word it is “pretty”.  Hey I am a girl, I love pretty things.  Another great thing about Elegant Custom Invitations is that  Christiana was so open to my ideas and didn’t try to force her opinions on me, she really lets you be a part of the creation process and as all creative types will attest to, its hard to give someone else creative control hehehe but I had full trust in Christiana’s ability and she DELIVERED. So with all that talk, here are my Save the dates and Wedding Invitations which I LOVE!! Brides, better contact her for your wedding stationary, tell her Ayesha sent you ;) .

Christiana Turner
I have dreamed of my wedding day since law school days and always knew I was going to use Yellow because Yellow is my favorite color, seriously I own a yellow everything. Yellow makes me smiles and it brightens up any look. However, I couldn’t decide what colors I wanted to accent it with, I eventually decided on Black with little hints of pink here and there.
We went with a Passport Theme and our monogram for the Save the Dates, that way I could have pages that included, details of the wedding, visa information and accommodation information on different pages, so I could avoid cluttering or having a gazillion sheets on my main invite.
Now for my invites, because we are having our wedding so far away, it was really important for me to give the guests keepsakes and make them remember my wedding from the planning phase to the last day of their vacation (which is what I plan on making this trip for them :) . So I started my gratitude by giving them these Silk wooden boxes and removable brooches, which after the wedding they can still keep.  Christiana, also designed the raffia like insert that the actual invite sits in, just to give it the palm/destination feel. Genius she is I tell you.
That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

DrexelBrook Wedding: Abi + Kokou’s Wedding Story

I shot Abi and Kokou’s wedding on the last weekend of April in Philadelphia, PA. It was held at the lovely venue Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, PA.  Abi and Kokou’s wedding I have to say was the funnest as far as dancing I have ever attended. I seriously wanted to drop my camera and start dancing! It was a merging of cultural music from Togo, Nigeria and American throw backs!  Everyone was on the dance floor young and old. Here are some of my favorite pictures. Special shoutout and thanks to my second shooter who is based in NJ/NY/PA Dami of Coleeffect.

An absolute favorite of mine shot by my second shooter Dami. I decided to edit all the Rolls Royce series with a vintage feel since its such a vintagey car lol.

Abi getting on her diva poses :)

Kokou clearly thought it was hilarious hehehe.

Aww I  love this picture of how Abi’s face lights up when she sees Kokou at the end of the Aisle awww.

PARTY TIME!!!! THEY REALLY BROUGHT NEW MEANING TO THE SAYING “THERE AIN’T NO PARTY LIKE A WEST COAST PARTY” ( Abi’s is from the West Coast).

This picture actually really touched me.  Kokou’s mum wrapped her scarf around Abi and Kokou since they have become one.

The couple changed and the fun continued!!

Now this is an uncle I would love to have attend my wedding- Check out the stash of cash. It is customary at African weddings for money to be sprayed on the couple and parents while they dance.

Both Mum’s got in on the FUN

So did Grandma!

Aww Daddy’s girl

Mummy’s boy! Another beautiful image captured by Dami

The single ladies were serious about catching that bouquet!

However, there can be only one winner

Eastcoast versus Westcoast repping on the dance floor!

That’s all folks, thanks for stopping by!

xoxo
